Green Solutions increases energy efficiency by utilizing environmentally friendly materials and techniques. Our goal is to provide technical, financial and educational assistance to homeowners to improve each home’s energy efficiency by at least 20%.

Green Solutions’ mission is to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes and to support their ability to maintain and improve the efficiency of their homes and appliances throughout their lifetimes.

DO YOU NEED HELP PAYING FOR REPAIRS TO YOUR HOME?
Frontier Housing is actively working to ensure that all residents in our service area have safe and decent homes.

Our Green Solutions Housing Rehabilitation Program provides financial assistance and construction management to homeowners for making needed repairs on owner-occupied properties that are single family or mobile homes. Eligible homeowners are provided financial assistance in the form of a low-interest loan. This is not a home remodeling program, but is intended to help homeowners correct items related to energy efficiency and accessibility. The Green Solutions team will work with the homeowner to create a construction plan for contractors to bid on, and monitor the contractors’ work on the home throughout the entire process.

Making your home more energy efficient will always be a good investment.

Green Solutions uses an integrated "whole-house" approach that looks at your home as a system. Each green rehabilitation project will be tailored to the needs of the homeowner.

We start with an energy audit of the home before the work begins to compare with another audit after the work is completed. The goal is to increase the energy efficiency of each home by a minimum of 20%. This may include, installing a new ENERGY STAR heating system, sealing ductwork, installing new ENERGY STAR windows, adding more insulation, or replacing old appliances with ENERGY STAR appliances.

Housing replacement services will be reserved for those who reside in older mobile homes (pre-HUD code homes, built prior to 1976) that are in poor condition and cannot be rehabilitated to be energy efficient. These homes can be replaced with Frontier’s new Ridgeline Series single-section manufactured homes that are very energy efficient and built to Frontier’s high quality standards.
