Community Service at its Best!

There are many benefits to volunteering, and for a group of Morehead women, that came in the form of some time spent together laughing, talking and working while their kids enjoyed the new playground at Boodry Place. On Wednesday, June 25th, area mothers Claudette Edie, Sara Peyton, Donna Besant, Nadine Melahn, Melissa Caudill, and Tammy Collins-Bonney joined forces to work on a community service project for Frontier Housing. They met at Boodry Place, Frontier’s newest multi-family facility in downtown Morehead. After a quick tour, they geared up to stuff envelopes for mailing in one of the two community rooms while their kids romped and played on the completely handicap-accessible playground. After a quick snack, the kids got back to playing while the moms continued to put the finishing touches on their project. All in all, it was a wonderful experience for everyone concerned and Frontier thanks all those who were involved in this effort.
