Frontier places second for float in parade, first for best tree design, and tree donation nets $400 for Rowan County Christmas

On Saturday, December 2nd, Frontier Housing joined other local businesses in a parade celebrating Rowan County’s Sesquicentennial Anniversary. The theme for our float was “Frontier Days”, with a rustic log cabin and employees dressed in costumes from the olden days. Rodney Hitch, Director of Economic Development, presented Frontier with a second place plaque for Best Float.

Frontier also participated in the Morehead Conference Center’s Magical Christmas Tree Walk. Local businesses donated decorated trees, which were then auctioned to raise money for Rowan County Christmas.
Over $3000 was raised, enough to pay for all of the food vouchers for this year. Rowan County Christmas was established in 1993 by social service agencies, churches, organizations, and businesses that were committed to making Christmas special for people in need. Our tree placed first for best tree design and sold for $400, making it the third highest tree sold.
