Keith Freeman and Mandy

A Home Built for a Queen

That is the sound you hear as Mandy runs across the floor of the kitchen in her new Frontier home; the new home that she shares with her owners, Keith and Clara Freeman. Mandy is a small 4 year old terrier mix that enjoys spending her days curled up on the couch at Clara’s side. She is their little queen.

Keith and Clara are also enjoying their new home. For Keith, a volunteer firefighter, the location of their new home couldn’t be more perfect. Located in Frontier’s Community at Edgewood, it is centrally located to both the fire station where Keith volunteers and his place of employment, the Family Dollar Distribution Center.

But that isn’t all that makes this home special. Although Keith and Clara don’t have children of their own, they absolutely dote on Mandy and are looking forward to sharing their home with their many nieces and nephews that will come to visit. With three bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, there is plenty of room to romp and play.

Keith and Clara’s story began more than ten years ago. Keith was born and raised in Detroit, where most of his family still lives. He moved to Morehead in 1997, where he met Clara. After dating for several years, they have now been married for more than seven years. Clara is from southeastern Kentucky, near Pikeville. They love the Morehead area and its close proximity to Clara’s family.

The Freeman’s began their journey with Frontier after a friend urged them to contact us. They were a perfect couple for our program and the process was quick and fairly simple. They purchased a home that Frontier had already built, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the design and layout. They enjoy each other’s company tremendously and look forward to spending many years in their Frontier home.
