Fair housing is not an option. It’s the law.

April is Fair Housing Month and Frontier Housing has been very active in promoting it this year with various activities throughout our service area.

Our major event was a Fair Housing presentation to all sixth-grade students at Rowan County Middle School in Morehead. Kelly Fleck of Frontier Housing spent the day teaching the kids about Fair Housing laws and issues. The kids were then assigned the task of creating a Public Service Announcement based on Fair Housing. Two winning teams had the opportunity to record their PSA and have it played on local radio stations throughout the month of April.

Other Fair Housing activities included displaying posters at local businesses and distributing Fair Housing brochures to each customer and to Homebuyer Education Workshop attendees.
