GRAND OPENING of
THE COMMUNITY AT EDGEWOOD
July 5, 2021 – While you have been dreaming of a new home, Frontier
Housing has been building the home of your dreams! Our new community is
located off Interstate 64, Exit 133, Rice Road, Rowan County, Kentucky.
On Friday, June 30, 2006, local funders, community members, friends and
family, as well as Frontier staff gathered to celebrate the grand opening
of this much anticipated community. Frank Olson, Board Chair of Frontier
welcomed the large crowd. “The Edgewood Community shows what can happen
when a cutting edge nonprofit, like Frontier forges new partnerships with
both Clayton Homes in the manufactured housing industry and with US Bank
in the lending industry. The process creates a new way of fulfilling
Frontier’s traditional mission of providing affordable housing. This is an
exciting time”, says Mr. Olson.
Four model homes will be available for viewing Monday thru Saturday.
These homes are Energy Star Rated, giving homeowners a little reprieve on
their monthly utility bills. Edgewood homes also feature spacious gourmet
kitchens and garden tubs. Frontier promises to find the best financing
solution available for each homebuyer. Frontier is able to work with each
family individually to find down payment assistance and the lowest
interest loans. The Community at Edgewood is where fine living meets
affordability.
