Boodry Place in Morehead Welcomes First Residents

Boodry Place, a multi-generational apartment complex in downtown Morehead, welcomed its first residents beginning in early July. With seven residents already moved in and several more ready, interest in the new project is increasing.

In this ideal location for a residential living community, older adults will enjoy views of the surrounding hills and have close proximity to shopping, doctors and meals. Families with disabled children will be able to receive the services and care they need on-site while also enjoying the many amenities the development has to offer.

Michael Williams, who recently moved in, says “It’s like a fancy hotel, only I pay the same for one month of living here as I would for one night in a hotel.”

“We are thrilled to open the doors of our newest community,” said Stacey Epperson, President and CEO of Frontier Housing, co-developer of the project. “We are looking forward to having residents move in over the next several months, and we know they will be more than delighted to call this facility home.”

Boodry Place was named for Glen Boodry, long-time friend, supporter and Board member of Frontier Housing. “This is the kind of facility that Glen thought Morehead needed,” said Patsy Boodry, widow of Glen. “He would have been proud to have his name on it.”

The project was co-developed by Frontier Housing of Morehead, and Community Housing Partners Corporation out of Christiansburg, Virginia.
