Tours of Boodry Show Community Support and Enthusiasm
On June 5, former Mayor Brad Collins and his wife, Linda, toured the newly completed Boodry Place in downtown Morehead. They were joined by Patsy Boodry, wife of the late Glen Boodry, whom Boodry Place is named for, and her sister, Shirley Hamilton, former Morehead City Council member. Boodry Place is Frontier’s latest multi-family development, and offers residents easy access to many downtown businesses such as the grocery, post office, bank, hospital, doctor’s offices, dialysis center and pharmacy.
“The tour gives people the full spectrum of what Boodry Place has to offer to our community,” said Stacey Epperson, President/CEO of Frontier. After a brief rest in a rocking chair on the second floor veranda and a quick jaunt to the playground, Linda Collins said, “Isn’t it wonderful that senior citizens can live in someplace this beautiful?” The following day local artists Christine Barker and Charlette Schwalbert were given a tour of the facility and were equally enthused.
